Vaccines according Age, Health Condition, and Pregnancy
Age: Vaccine schedules differ across life stages — infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults each have specific timing and dose counts. We follow current CDC immunization schedules to determine which vaccines are due at each age.
Health condition: Chronic illnesses, immune suppression, certain medications, and occupational or lifestyle exposures change vaccine recommendations. People with diabetes, heart or lung disease, cancer, or weakened immune systems may need additional or earlier vaccines (for example, pneumococcal or enhanced influenza protection).
During pregnancy and planning pregnancy: Some vaccines are recommended during pregnancy (for example, influenza and Tdap) to protect both mother and newborn; others are contraindicated and should be given before conception. We coordinate timing with your prenatal care team.
